Generation Potato Soup

I got this recipe from my stepmother's grandmother many, many years ago. It's a little rich, but it's so good.

Generation Potato Soup
Half package of bacon
6 Potatoes cut with or without skins
Butter
Milk
Onions

You will need to chop up potatoes, bacon, and onions into small pieces.
Place all ingredients in a pot full of water and cook till potatoes are tender, but not falling apart. Drain. After you have drained water, return potatoes, bacon, and onions back to pot add milk until it covers contents. Add in 2 Tbsp. of butter, bring to a boil, and then simmer for 30 minutes. Add salt and pepper to taste. Serve with crusty bread.
